No one gets ignored, they just get met with an army of equally stupid 
minimum wage phone drones who read the "have you tried rebooting your 
router" script, and the two sides slug it out in a no holds bared battle 
of the braindead until one side gives up.

Usually though, the script is smarter than the caller, or they wouldn't be 
using them. This is why people with actual issues don't get noticed as 
quickly as they should among the sea of false issues.
