While solar + batteries would be good backup options, they would do
little to support electric-driven heating, as solar irradiation
during winter is too low already, and zapping your batteries on
resistive loads will surely kill them young.<br>

Li-Ion storage is by no means perfect, but it's the most perfect we
have, today.<br>
