Perhaps it's time to think about enhancements to the NANOG list...?

This is the real problem - there are many NOG discussions shifting on to 
mobile messaging apps (Signal and Telegram, specifically) in the 
developing markets, even when mailing lists exist.

Reasons abound as to why this is happening. The bottom line is that this 
is happening, and appears to be the preference.
