Hello,

We are now looking for indications for a managed top of rack switch for a
network research testbed.
For the last 3-4 years we have been using a product from a local
(Brazilian) provider, but their OpenFlow support did not evolve in the last
years, and now we are looking for a new box model that we can use from now
on to install new racks or replace units without contract support that are
limited to OpenFlow 1.0.

We are looking for a box – it cay be a white-box – with the following
features:

• L2 / L3 switch
• 48 Ports 1GbE UTP RJ-45
• Line rate non-blocking wire-speed for 64-byte packets
• Minimum of 2 or more ports with 1Gbps mini GBIC (SFP)
(support for 2x 10Gbps SFP+ is desirable, but not mandatory)
• 1U 19" chassis
• 110V / 220V AC Power (redundant is preferable, but not mandatory)
• Support for IPv4, IPv6 and OpenFlow
• Support for OpenFlow version 1.0.0 and above
• Support for VLAN Tagging with simultaneous 4094 active VIDs IEEE 802.1q)
• Support for Q-in-Q double tagging with EtherType 0x8100 and selective
Q-in-Q
• Support for VLAN translation allowing label push, pop or swap (IEEE
802.1q)
• Support for Routing between VLANs (IPv4 and IPv6)
• Support for management protocols (SNMP etc)
• Support for debugging OpenFlow traffic in the CLI
• Support for dual images for resilient firmware upgrades is desirable
• Support for Secure remote management of the switch via Secure Shell (SSH)
and SSL encryption
• Support for SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3 with support for SNMP Traps
• Support for port mirroring
• Configuration rollback feature is desirable
• POE (IEEE 802.3af) is desirable, but not mandatory.

Thanks,
Alex
