You're absolutely right. Usually the quality is perfect and stable.
Telia is very respectful T1 provider.

I've been using them out of Dallas for about 2.5 years now with very good success.  Their NOC has been top notch in responding to our issues, though I've seen repeated peering issues for them with a single provider, but who's to say that's their fault and not the other parties?
