If the autoresponder is sane, it looks for:

List-Archive: <http://mailman.nanog.org/pipermail/nanog/>

List-Help: <mailto:nanog-request at nanog.org?subject=help>
List-Subscribe: <http://mailman.nanog.org/mailman/listinfo/nanog>,
 <mailto:nanog-request at nanog.org?subject=subscribe>
Precedence: list

If the mailing list doesn't set those headers, that's the mailing list's fault.
