This message contains operational information that might be of interest to the Internet operational community. Verisign is enabling IPv6 transport for its .com/.net Whois service (which also contains information for .edu, .arpa, and the root zone).

By March 31, 2012, Verisign will begin accepting queries to the aforementioned Whois service over IPv6 transport in addition to IPv4. Accordingly, DNS queries for the Whois server host names whois.verisign-grs.com, whois.verisign-grs.net, whois.crsnic.net, whois.nsiregistry.com, and whois.nsiregistry.net will return both A and AAAA records.

If you have any questions or comments, please send email to info at verisign‐grs.com or reply to this message.
