Not so.

The correct "solution" is to remove the wildcarding.
Until that happens, the best thing to do IS accept and then reject mail.
This is significantly better than leaving it to expire in a spool after
5 days.

You might be find allowing the mail to sit in your spool, but for those
admins who manage large-scale systems where a queue will grow to several
gigabytes in a day or less under there conditions, verisign not
answering SMTP would be BAD.

Verisign aren't stupid. They know how much of a problem not talking on
port 25 would be for the large ISP's around the world. They might put up
with our bitching, but I'm sure they don't want multiple lawsuits
sitting in their mailbox for breaking an ISP's mail.
