If you take a closer look, you'll find that audcom doesn't resolve,
just www.audcom; that should be enough to clue anyone in on how
Eugene's little "trick" is done, and also why it's not likely to become
common practice.

"Eugene's little trick" is a known operational loop-hole.
I would hope that all of the people representing the
following Root Name Server Confederations be fully
aware of this loop-hole and the long term need to
evolve DNS to a more bullet-proof, industrial-strength
solution.
