FWIW, Don Becker has written Linux drivers for the Packet Engines card.
See http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/yellowfin.html for
code. He spoke of it briefly at a LUG meeting. Operative words were
"WOW" I think.
