[Attendee] Important travel information for NANOG 85

Hello NANOG 85 Attendees,

Your health and safety are very important to us and NANOG is ready to host
everyone safely in Montréal. We will require that everyone attending NANOG
85 be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

no later than May 23, 2022.


You are considered fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks after the final dose
in either a 2 dose vaccine series (Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca) or the
single-dose series (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen) vaccine. If you do not
meet these requirements, you are not fully vaccinated and we request that
you join us for NANOG 85 virtually. There will be no exceptions.

Please be aware that ArriveCan is mandatory for travelers entering Canada.
Those who do not comply could be subject to a $5K fine. You must use the
ArriveCAN mobile app

or sign in on a computer to enter your proof of vaccination, quarantine,
and travel information.

   Proof of vaccination and travel documents can be saved in your ArriveCAN

   To get an ArriveCAN receipt, submit your travel and quarantine plan
   information within 72 hours before your arrival in Canada

If you do not have a smartphone, within 72 hours of your arrival in
Canada, sign
in to ArriveCAN from a computer

ArriveCAN receipt. Print your receipt and take it with you when you travel.

In addition, health professionals will be on-site at the Fairmont Queen
Elizabeth Hotel in the Ping Room on the 3rd Floor, to conduct Covid-19
testing for NANOG attendees who require an official negative test result
for travel back to their home country.

$95.00 CAD Antigen Rapid Test (required for entry to the USA)

or

$150.00 CAD for a PCR test.

Should any attendees require tests on another day or time, below are 2
locations that are close to the Fairmont.  Instatest is the closest as it’s
located in the train station, just below the hotel.

If you feel uncomfortable traveling to Montréal and have already paid for
the in-person experience you are able to modify your meeting registration
to the virtual option with no penalty.


If you are on-site and become feverish or develop a cough, please stay in
your room and notify nanog-support at nanog.org to report your illness and
seek medical attention.
