Dear NANOG 71 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 71, sponsored by EQUINIX, at the Fairmont San Jose hotel.  We are expecting strong attendance, with 1,159 individuals registered for the meeting as of this email.  Based on our registration data, 316 people have indicated they are attending a NANOG meeting for the first time.  Of those attending, 296 are also NANOG Members.


Agenda

We provide a mobile app for the conference via Guidebook <https://guidebook.com/getit/>. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices.  Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at the bottom and search for “NANOG 71”.  There are a number of features in Guidebook you may like to use.  You can download all or only some of the agenda items that you want, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, search nearby restaurants, connect to social media sites, and you can even take the General and Daily Presentation survey right from your mobile device!

Meeting Check-in
Meeting registration is in the Market Street Foyer, Second Floor - Main Building of the hotel. When you arrive at the meeting, please check-in at the NANOG Registration Desk to pick up your name badge, NANOG 71 T-shirt, and additional important handouts.  You are required to wear your badge during the meeting at ALL times for security purposes.  Badges are non-transferrable.  

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:
• Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Be sure to stop by and visit the crowd pleasing sponsored Espresso Bar.  The bar will be open Monday - Wednesday, 8:30am - 4:30pm in the Market Street Foyer.

NANOG conferences are full of days with many events.  Below is a list of activities taking place outside of the Agenda Programming.

Monday - Wednesday: Extended Breakfast will be served in the Regency 1 Ballroom (2nd Level - Main Building)  from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Attendees Lunch
Monday & Tuesday: Lunch will be served in the Regency 1 Ballroom (2nd Level - Main Building) open to all attendees, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Tuesday Lunch Option: Join us in Regency 2 Ballroom (2nd Level - Main Building) for the Women in Technology Discussion.
Wednesday: Lunch will be on your own.
