Dear NANOG 69 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 69, sponsored by LINX, at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel.  We are expecting strong attendance, with 907 individuals registered for the meeting as of this email.  Based on our registration data, 220 people have indicated they are attending a NANOG meeting for the first time.  Of those attending, 238 are also NANOG Members.

Agenda

We provide a mobile app for the conference via Guidebook <https://guidebook.com/g/nanog68/>. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices.  Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at the bottom and search for “NANOG 69”.  There are a number of features in Guidebook you may like to use.  You can download all or only some of the agenda items that you want, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, search nearby restaurants, connect to social media sites, and you can even take the General and Daily Presentation survey right from your mobile device!

Meeting Check-in
Meeting registration is in the Independence Foyer (5B) of the hotel. When you arrive at the meeting, please check-in at the NANOG Registration Desk to pick up your name badge, NANOG 69 T-shirt, and additional important handouts.  

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:
• Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Be sure to stop by and visit the crowd pleasing sponsored Espresso Bar.  The bar will be open Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm in the Independence Foyer.

If you become a NANOG Member during the conference, be sure to stop by Registration and pick up your premium drink tickets for the Tuesday night Beer n’ Gear.  Also as NANOG Members, be sure to sign-up for an Individual Photo Session with the NANOG Photographer.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Power Breakfast & AM Break will be served in the Constitution Ballroom (3B Level) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Attendees Lunch
Monday: Welcome Lunch will be served in the Constitution Ballroom AB (3B Level) open to all attendees, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Lunch for our attendees will be served in the Constitution Ballroom (3B Level)  from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. 
Wednesday: Lunch will be on your own.

Wireless Network(s)
Hotel Guest Room Internet access utilizing hotel wireless infrastructure is offered free of charge.  Access instructions will be provided upon check-in at the hotel. 

The following 2 SSIDs are available for all attendees in conference rooms and common areas:

NANOG - This is 802.1X secured using the login information below (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz)

NANOG-legacy - This is an open, unencrypted network (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz)

The NANOG conference network is geared for high availability and demonstrating industry best practices. Please note while there is encryption offered by 802.1x, it is no replacement for the end-to-end security offered by IPsec, SSL, SSH or similar VPN technology.
