Dear NANOG 65 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 65, hosted by TorIX, at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Quebec.  We are expecting strong attendance with 876 individuals registered for the meeting.  Based on our registration data, 278 people have indicated they are attending a NANOG meeting for the first time.  Of those attending, 263 are also NANOG Members.

Agenda
The complete NANOG 65 agenda <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog65/agenda> is available on the NANOG website <http://nanog.org/>, along with the NANOG meeting hotel space layout.  

We provide a mobile app for the conference via Guidebook <http://guidebook.com/guide/37863>. The app is compatible with iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Android devices.  Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at the bottom and search for “NANOG 65”.  There are a number of features in guidebook this meeting.  You can download all or only some of the agenda items that you want, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, search nearby restaurants, connect to social media sites, and you can even take the General and Daily Presentation survey right from your mobile device!

Meeting Check-in
Meeting registration is in the Foyer on the Convention Floor of the hotel. When you arrive at the meeting, please check-in at the NANOG Registration Desk to pick up your name badge, NANOG 65 T-shirt, giveaways and important handouts.  

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:
• Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Membership and Sponsorship Information
Beginning on Monday afternoon, staff will be available during breaks in the foyer on the Convention Floor near the Registration area to answer your Membership and Sponsorship questions. 

Attendees Breakfast
Monday: Welcome Breakfast will be served in the Hochelaga Room (Convention Floor Level) from 8:30-11:00 a.m.
Tuesday & Wednesday: Power Breakfast will be served in the Hochelaga Room (Convention Floor  Level) from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Attendees Lunch
Welcome Lunch– in the Hochelaga Room (Convention Floor Level), open to all attendees, will be on Monday at 12:00 p.m. This is a great time to begin the ever-famous NANOG hallway conversations.
Tuesday lunch for our attendees will be served in the Hochelaga Room (Convention Floor Level) at 1:00 p.m. 
Wednesday lunch will be on your own.

Wireless Network(s)
Hotel Guest Room Internet access utilizing hotel wireless infrastructure is offered free of charge.  Access instructions will be provided upon check-in at the hotel.  

The following 2 SSIDs are available for all attendees in conference rooms and common areas:
NANOG-ARIN – 802.1X, User: nanog Pass: nanog
NANOG-ARIN-legacy – Open, unencrypted network, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz

The NANOG conference network is geared for high availability and demonstrating industry best practices. The encryption offered by 802.1x is no replacement for the end-to-end security offered by IPsec, SSL, SSH or similar VPN technology.

Travel Links
Via the NANOG webpage <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog65/inandaround>, we have provided a few highlights to make your stay more enjoyable.  However, should you have further questions regarding the sites of the area, always feel free to stop by the hotel Concierge Desk for further recommendations.

Ground Transportation and Parking:
The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is just 14 miles from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. 
Valet Parking available on North side of Belmont Street or on Cathcart Street. CAD $29.00(plus taxes) per day, includes in and out privileges. 
Self Parking available on South side of Belmont Street.  Fees must be paid at the parking pay stations. 
Transportation: Taxi service will be about CAD $40 one-way or Express Bus 747 will be about CAD $10.00 one-way (the bus stop is Rene-Levesque/Mansfield).
