Dear NANOG 64 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 64, <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog64/home> hosted
by Netflix, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, California.
We are expecting strong attendance with 1120 individuals registered for the
meeting.  Based on our registration data, 373 people have indicated they
are attending a NANOG meeting for the first time.  Of those attending, 223
are also NANOG Members.

We are once again happy to provide a mobile app for the conference via
Guidebook. The app is compatible with iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and
Android devices.  Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at
the bottom and search for “NANOG 64”.  There are a number of features in
guidebook this meeting.  You can download all or only some of the agenda
items that you want, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, search nearby
restaurants, connect to social media sites, and you can even take the
General and Daily Presentation survey right from your mobile device!

*Meeting Check-in*
Meeting registration is in the Mezzanine Registration Area of the hotel.
When you arrive at the meeting, please check-in at the NANOG Registration
Desk to pick up your name badge, NANOG 64 T-shirt, giveaways and important
handouts.  Near Registration there is also an Attendee raffle sponsored by
XIRRUS for a Wireless Access Point device (WAP).  VERISIGN is sponsoring
the famous, NANOG Espresso Bar, where we have ample premium Espresso bar
baristas to service you near the General Session Space.

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

• Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*Membership and Sponsorship Information*
Beginning on Monday afternoon, the Sponsorship Sales Director will be
available during breaks in the Italian Room or near the Registration area
to answer your Membership and Sponsorship questions.

*Attendees Breakfast and Lunch*

Monday: Welcome Breakfast will be served in the Georgian Room (Mezzanine
Level) and Alexandra’s (32nd floor) from 8:30-11:00 a.m.

Tuesday & Wednesday: Power Breakfast will be served in the Georgian Room
(Mezzanine Level) and Alexandra’s (32nd floor) from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Attendees Lunch
Welcome Lunch– in the Georgian Room (Mezzanine Level) and Victor’s &
Alexandra’s (32nd floor), open to all attendees, will be on Monday at 12:00
p.m. This is a great time to begin the ever-famous NANOG hallway
conversations.
Tuesday lunch for our attendees will be served in the Georgian Room
(Mezzanine Level) and Victor’s & Alexandra’s (32nd floor) at 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday lunch will be on your own.

Hotel Guest Room Internet access utilizing hotel wireless infrastructure is
offered free of charge.  Access instructions will be provided upon check-in
at the hotel.

The following SSIDs are available for all attendees in conference rooms and
common areas:
NANOG – 802.1X, User: nanog Pass: nanog
NANOG-legacy – Open, unencrypted network, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz

The NANOG conference network is geared for high availability and
demonstrating industry best practices. The encryption offered by 802.1x is
no replacement for the end-to-end security offered by IPsec, SSL, SSH or
similar VPN technology.

The Network Operations Office is located in the Essex Room (2nd Floor),

Via the NANOG webpage, we have provided a few highlights to make your stay
more enjoyable.  However should you have further questions regarding the
sites of the area, always feel free to stop by the hotel Concierge Desk for
further recommendations.

*Ground Transportation and Parking:*
The Westin St. Francis is just 15 miles from San Francisco International
Airport.
Hotel Parking: Regular compact vehicles $58 (plus 14% tax) per day, and
oversized vehicles/SUVs $65 (plus 14% tax) per day.
Transportation: Taxi service will be about $55 one-way.
