Dear NANOG 63 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 63 Hosted by CyrusOne, at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel
in San Antonio, Texas.  We are expecting strong attendance with 700
individuals registered for the meeting.  Based on our registration data,
169 people have indicated they are attending a NANOG meeting for the first
time.  Of those attending, 140 are also NANOG Members.

*Agenda*
The complete NANOG 63 agenda is available on the NANOG website
<http://nanog.org/>, along with the NANOG meeting hotel space layout.

The NANOG Agenda <https://www.nanog.org/meetings/nanog63/agenda> is also
available to download to your local electronic calendar via Guidebook
<http://www.guidebook.com/guide/29250/>. The app is compatible with
iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Android devices.

Once the app is installed, select “Download Guides” at the bottom and
search for “NANOG 63”.  There are a number of features in guidebook this
meeting.  You can download all or only some of the agenda items that you
want, find a map of the hotel meeting venue, search nearby restaurants,
connect to social media sites, and you can even take the General and Daily
Presentation survey right from your mobile device!

In addition you can download the .ics file and import it into your

*Meeting Check-in*
Meeting registration is in the Atrium, located on the 3rd floor of the
hotel. When you arrive at the meeting, please check-in at the NANOG
Registration Desk to pick up your name badge, NANOG 63 T-shirt, and
important handouts.

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

• Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


*Membership and Sponsorship Table*
Beginning on Monday morning, the Sponsorship Sales Director will be
available during posted hours in the Foyer to answer your Membership and
Sponsorship questions. The Membership and Sponsorship table will be located
near the registration area.

*Attendees Breakfast*

   - Monday: Welcome Breakfast will be served on the Foyer (3rd Floor) from
   8:30-11:00 a.m., seating in Salon E
   - Tuesday: Power Breakfast will be served  on the Foyer (3rd Floor) from
   8:30-9:30 a.m., seating in Salon E
   - Wednesday: Power Breakfast will be served at Sazo’s Restaurant (2nd
   floor) from 8:30-9:30 a.m.


*Attendees Lunch*

   - Welcome Lunch– Salon E (3rd Floor), open to all attendees, will be on
   Monday at 12:00 p.m. This is a great time to begin the ever famous NANOG
   hallway conversations.
   - *New!* In San Antonio we will offer a Tuesday lunch for our attendees;
   lunch will be served in Salon E (3rd Floor) at 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday lunch will be on your own.

*Wireless Network(s)*
Hotel Guest Room Internet access utilizing hotel wireless infrastructure is
offered free of charge.  Access instructions will be provided upon check-in
at the hotel.  NANOG will also be providing an internet connection
available in guest rooms with the following SSID:

nanog-guestroom – WPA/WPA2-Personal secured network. PSK password nanognanog

The following 3 SSIDs are available for all attendees in conference rooms
and common areas:
NANOG – 802.1X, 5Ghz only User: nanog Pass: nanog
NANOG-2.4only – 802.1X, 2.4GHz only User: nanog Pass: nanog
NANOG-legacy – Open, unencrypted network, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz

The NANOG conference network is geared for high availability and
demonstrating industry best practices. The encryption offered by 802.1x and
WPA2-PSK is no replacement for the end-to-end security offered by IPsec,
SSL, SSH or similar VPN technology.

The Network Operations Office is located in Conference Room 19, should you
have any questions for our network them please feel free to contact them at
NANOG-Eng at nanog.org.

*Identifying Ribbons on Badges & Stickers*
While at NANOG 63 you can easily identify the following individuals by
colored ribbons or stickers on their badges:

• Board of Directors Member– Red Ribbon
• Program Committee Member– White Ribbon

*Ground Transportation and Parking:*
The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter is just 9 miles from San Antonio
International Airport.

   - Hotel Parking: Self-parking - $27/night; Valet- $37/night
   - Transportation: Taxi service will range from $25 - $30 one-way.
