Dear NANOG 60 Attendees:

Welcome to NANOG 60!  Hosted by Telx, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in
Atlanta Georgia.  We are expecting a strong attendance at the meeting; with
nearly 611 individuals registered, 172 have indicated they are attending a
NANOG meeting for the first time.  Of those attending, 143 are also NANOG
Members.  This message contains information and brief reminders to help you
prepare for the NANOG meeting.

The complete NANOG 60 agenda is available on the NANOG website, along with
the NANOG meeting hotel space layout. The NANOG Agenda is also available to
download to your local electronic calendar.

Once the app is installed, select "Download Guides" at the bottom and then

*Meeting Check-in *
Meeting registration & check-in will be held at the Peachtree Foyer,
located on the 8th floor of the hotel. When you arrive at the meeting,
please check-in at the NANOG Registration Desk to pick up your name badge,
T-shirt, and important handouts.

The registration desk will be open during the following hours:

* Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
* Monday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

*Membership and Sponsorship Table - Peachtree Foyer*
Beginning on Monday afternoon, Development Committee members will be
available during breaks to answer your Membership and Sponsorship
questions. The Membership and Sponsorship table is located near the
registration area.

*Attendees Breakfast - Peachtree Foyer*

* Welcome Breakfast Refreshments will be served on Monday 8:30-11:00 a.m.
* Power Breakfast will be served Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

*Welcome Lunch- Plaza Ballroom (10th Floor)*
The Welcome Lunch, open to all attendees will be Monday at 12:00 p.m.  This
is a great time to begin the ever famous, NANOG hallway conversations.

*Newcomers Lunch - Atlanta Ballroom (7th Floor)*
If this is your first NANOG meeting, you are encouraged to attend the
Monday Newcomers Lunch with other NANOGers (meet and greet the NANOG
community and start socializing) at 12:00 p.m.

*Members Breakfast - Atlanta Ballroom (7th Floor)*
The Members Breakfast will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and is open to
NANOG Members.  Members will be provided an important opportunity to
interact with the NANOG Board of Directors and other NANOG committees.

Please join us in thanking the NANOG 60 meeting host, contributors, and
sponsors for their generosity in support of the NANOG community.

*Sunday* - Welcome Cocktails with Education Class Participants
* 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm International C 6th Floor

*Monday* Opening Reception - Hosted by Telx and NTT Communications.
* 7pm - 10pm
Join us for Cocktails, Appetizers and explore the museum
Shuttle busses will be running between the Westin and the museum from 6:30pm

*Tuesday* Evening Events:
* 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The ever famous NANOG Beer n' Gear will be held in the Atlanta Ballroom
* 8:15 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. the Pacnet Enabled Networking Drinks Reception -
Hosted by Pacnet will be held in International C.

*Wireless Network(s)*
Hotel Guest Room Internet access is also offered free of charge.  Access
instructions will be provided upon check-in at the hotel.

Meeting wireless will be available beginning on Sunday, October 6 using the
following Meeting Network SSIDs:

* NANOG 802.11A/B/G/N in 2.4GHz
* NANOG-a 802.11A/N in 5Ghz
* NANOG-secure WPA2-P over 802.11A/B/G/N
* NANOG-a-secure WPA2-P authentication over 802.11A/N

The secure wireless networks require WPA2-Personal authentication. Password
credentials are "nanognanog" - all lower case.

*Identifying Ribbons*
While at NANOG 60 can easily be identify the following individuals by
colored ribbons on their badges:

* Board of Directors Member- Red Ribbon
* Program Committee Member- White Ribbon
* Development and Communications Committees Member- Blue Ribbon
* Staff - Special name badges
* Newcomer - Teal Ribbon
* Premium Sponsor - Violet Ribbon
* Meeting Sponsor  - Yellow Ribbon
* Press - Pink Ribbon

*Travel Links*
Via the NANOG webpage, we have provided a few highlights to make your stay
more enjoyable.  However should you have further questions regarding the
sites of the area always feel free to stop by the hotel Concierge Desk for
further recommendations.

*Ground Transportation and Parking:*
The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta hotel is eight miles from the Atlanta
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and provides an airport shuttle
service at a $16.50 per person rate. Please call (404) 941-3440 for more
information about the shuttle. The hotel is also a short cab ride away
($30-$35 approximate fare).

Hotel Parking: Overnight self-parking - $22/night; Valet- $32/night
