Dear NANOG 48 Attendee:

As we come together for NANOG48, February 21–24, 2010, at the Hilton Austin in Austin, Texas, with strong attendance and excellent program, here are a few highlights and reminders.

NANOG Email Lists
--------------------------
First, the email list attendee at nanog.org is an email list used by Merit, the NANOG Steering, Program, and Communications Committees to communicate meeting information directly with meeting attendees. NANOG-Attendee at nanog.org is an email list used by NANOG meeting attendees who choose to communicate with each other regarding meeting activities. NANOG-Support at nanog.org is an email list used to communicate with Merit staff directly.

Agenda
----------
The agenda is complete and available at:

An abbreviated paper copy will be provided with your name badge.

Check-in
------------
When you arrive at the meeting, please check in at the meeting registration desk to pick up your name badge, t-shirt, and important handouts. The registration desk will be in the Grand Ballroom Foyer on the 6th floor and open during the following hours:

     Sunday: 12 noon to 6 p.m.

     Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
     Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Community Meeting
---------------------------
An important part of every NANOG meeting is the opportunity to hear updates from, and communicate with, the various committees that are responsible for supporting the meetings and the NANOG community. As this meeting is for the community, we hope you will attend and participate in that session on Sunday, February 21, from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in Salon H.

Informal BOF Sign-up
----------------------------
An important offering at NANOG is the opportunity to suggest informal Birds of a Feather (BOF) session on Tuesday afternoon. The BOF sessions provide an opportunity to discuss special interest topics in a NANOG meeting room. The Program Committee will announce time assignments on Monday morning for the meeting room.

Vendor Collaboration Room
------------------------------------
NANOG48 will feature a new Vendor Collaboration Room located in the Governors Ball Room Salon B on the 4th Floor. The room will be available to the community Sunday, February 21, 2010, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, February 22-23, 2010, Noon – 5 p.m. As you already know, NANOG is a fantastic place for everyone to participate. The Live Vendor Collaboration Room will be introducing a new avenue for engineers in the community to exhibit the technological capabilities in an hands-on capacity which will further enhance IPv6 demonstrations in a true production environment and also allow for real-time feedback and interaction between end-users, providers and vendors.
