Internet Governance Fight Looms

Hey all,

A pretty important meeting is happening at the IGF (Internet Governance Forum) at the moment with a fight about how the internet itself is managed.

The worrying thing is the size and power of some of the countries who want to do things differently than our present multi-stakeholder approach.

As the writer quotes "Nothing less than the fate of the future evolution of the Internet is at stake".  It sounds dramatic, but if certain powers get their way, it could be close to the truth.

There are numerous people from our community going to be attending the event in Africa and no doubt will report back to us with what is happening.
