Token ring? topic hijack: was Re: Mystery open source switching

To my knowledge Simplex Grinnell fire detection systems currently use token ring.

Not only token ring. I know of some coaxial ethernets that were running as
late as 2007.

Some ATM machines still use X.25. And I know of at least one operational
CNLP network (not a commercial one though)
