Since Verizontal owns GTE, it's non-trivial. GTE has parts of many
many states. (MD is one of the few without same...). ISTM GTE is the
sole carrier in Hawaii. Alaska? err..

You can swag by looking at older maps, and knowing that

SBC 		= SWB+PacBell+Ameritech+SNET
QWEST 		= USWorst
Verizontal 	= C&P/BellAwful+Nynex+GTE
BellSouth	= BS

I can never recall who owns Cincy Bell this week.
