after problems receiving mail from gmail accounts and from etoain at
pair.com, "one person," aka i, removed the dnsrbl test for
qil.mail-abuse.com from my main mta about 24 hours ago. no increase in
spam to my personal mailbox has been noticed.

of course, there are other filters in place as well, e.g. spamassassin.
otoh, maybe today was just not a bad mail day.
